Tall Story by Candy Gourlay

This story is set in the Philippines and London, in the modern day.

It is about a boy called Bernardo who came to London from the Philippines and now lives with his sort-of cousin Andi. It is about their lives together and how they both love basketball. Bernardo is super super tall so the story is all about him and what life is like if you are really tall.

It is funny in parts but it is also sad in parts because people make fun of him because of his height, but overall it is worth reading!

I think it would be suitable for age 8 and over. Each chapter is about a different person so it jumps about a bit and has some flashbacks so you have to concentrate and there are a few rude words.
